El Almacén de la Sal in Playa Blanca, built a century ago by the family Lleo Benlliure, was used to store salt, and precious commodity in times of scarcity, which was produced in the Salinas de Janubio before being transported by boats and barge to the nearby islands of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.Hoy days the store is home to one of the most unique restaurants on the island of Lanzarote – for its location between the ancient walls, original decor, live music, impeccable service , the splendid terrace on a step from the beach overlooking the sea and the island of Fuerteventura and is a must for those who appreciate a special quality of raw materials.
